HerX is for the temporary relief of symptoms related to Herxheimer reactions such as brain fog, fatigue, chills, muscle discomfort, nausea, and malaise.

Since many Lyme disease symptoms are the result of excess inflammatory cytokines, an acute inflammatory Herxheimer reaction manifests as a temporary worsening of Lyme symptoms that begins 24-48 hours after the initiation of antibiotic treatment. Treatment of fungal colonization will almost invariably result in a Herxheimer reaction in a hypersensitive patient if the treatment is too aggressive.
